The birth of a new brand - Vodka for the “Outer-Class”

Hood River Distillers wanted to create a premium vodka and formed a partnership with the famed, historic Timberline Lodge on the slopes of Mt. Hood.  We saw an opportunity align the vodka with a larger, yet focused audience that celebrates outdoor life and designed the brand around a simple narrative: Timberline is the vodka for the “Outer Class.” Unlike, the creative class, or the upper class, the Outer Class is for anyone drawn to the energy of the outdoors. The idea of the Outer Class is born from a collection of product and brand truths, from the location of the company at one of the iconic locations for outdoor enthusiasts, to the product that uses local ingredients. From this story we found countless ways to talk about it, design materials around it and bring it to life in the world.

The project is  a collaboration with Sandstrom & Partners with graphic design and packaging by the esteemed Steve Sandstrom
